What is C2PA?

C2PA is the standard behind Content Credentials: a signed record that can describe how an image was created or edited and which tool made the claim.

Is a C2PA match stronger than an AI score?

Yes. Signed provenance is stronger evidence than a probability score when the credential is valid and relevant. The image score still helps when the credential is absent or incomplete.

Can C2PA metadata be missing from AI images?

Yes. Screenshots, uploads, and file conversions can remove C2PA metadata. That is why Slop or Not also checks the image itself.
