Who these terms are between

This site is operated by Numen Technologies Limited, Work Hub, 77 Camden Street, Dublin D02XE80, Ireland, registered with the Companies Registration Office under company number 677823.

These terms apply to your use of the slopornot.ai website, including the free online checker. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site. We are not asking you to click anything; using the site is what these terms cover.

The Slop or Not apps for iPhone, iPad, and Mac are covered separately, in the section on the apps below.

We publish these terms in several languages. The English version is the one that controls. If a translation and the English text disagree, the English text applies.

What you may do with the site

You may use the site and the free online checker for your own purposes, personal or professional, subject to the limits below. We are not granting you any ownership in the site, the software, the detection models, or the brand.

You keep everything you submit to the checker. Sending us text or an image gives us permission to process it in order to return your result, and nothing more. We do not use it to train models.

What you may not do

The online checker is free and has a daily allowance so that it stays free for everyone. Please do not:

• Work around the daily allowance, whether by rotating addresses, clearing state, scripting, or any other means.
• Automate the checker, scrape it, or wire it into another product or service. If you need programmatic checks, the Slop or Not CLI and MCP server exist for exactly that. Both ship inside the Mac app and require Pro, and both run on your own Mac rather than on our servers.
• Attempt to defeat, bypass, or attack the bot protection.
• Submit content that is unlawful to possess or distribute, including child sexual abuse material, or content you have no right to submit.
• Use the site to harass a person, or present a result as proof of misconduct by a named individual.
• Probe, scan, or overload our infrastructure, or attempt to reach parts of it that are not public.
• Copy, resell, or redistribute results as if they were your own detection service.

We can rate-limit, suspend, or block access when we see abuse, and we will do so without notice when the service is at risk.

What a result means

A result from Slop or Not is a probabilistic estimate produced by software. It is not proof that a person did or did not write, generate, or edit something, and it is not a professional opinion.

Accuracy varies with the content, with new generation models, and with techniques built specifically to defeat detectors. Do not make a decision that affects someone - a grade, a job, a contract, a public accusation - on the strength of a result alone.

The free online checker is offered as it stands. We may change its daily allowance, its features, or its availability, and we may take it down for maintenance.

The apps

Your use of the Slop or Not apps for iPhone, iPad, and Mac is governed by Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement, which applies to every app we publish on the App Store. We do not impose a separate license of our own.

Apple distributes the app and handles in-app purchases, refunds, and subscriptions. Questions about a charge go to Apple; questions about the product come to us.

Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains what we do with data, and it forms part of these terms.

Our content and trademarks

The text, design, code, models, and artwork on this site belong to us or to our licensors. Slop or Not and Numen are our marks. Apple, App Store, iPhone, iPad, and Mac are trademarks of Apple Inc.

You may quote and link to our pages with attribution. You may not copy the site wholesale or present our material as yours.

Links to other sites

We link to other sites, including comparisons with other products. We do not control them and we are not responsible for what they publish or how they treat your data.

Disclaimer

The site and the free online checker are provided as they stand and as available. To the extent the law allows, we exclude implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, and we do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for lost profits, or for decisions you take based on a result. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Your rights as a consumer

If you are a consumer, you keep every right that the mandatory law of your country of residence gives you. Nothing in these terms takes those rights away or reduces them, and where a term here conflicts with them, your rights win.

Accessibility

We want the site to work for everyone. If something on it blocks you, tell us at [email protected] and we will fix it or find you another way through.

Governing law and where disputes are heard

These terms are governed by the law of Ireland, and the courts of Ireland have jurisdiction.

If you are a consumer in the European Union or the United Kingdom, this does not deprive you of the protection of your local mandatory law, and you may bring proceedings in the courts of the country where you live. There is no arbitration clause in these terms, and you are not waiving any right to go to court.

Changes to these terms

We update these terms when the service changes. The effective date at the top tells you which version you are reading, and we keep a full revision history of this page that we will share on request.
